Meet Stephanie
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Durango, Colorado, offering individual therapy, couples counseling, and marriage counseling for adults seeking support with emotional and relationship challenges. I’m licensed to practice therapy in both Colorado and Texas, and I provide online therapy/virtual therapy, and in-person counseling, making it easy for clients searching for '“a therapist near me”, a Colorado therapist, or a Texas therapist to get the care they need. I am Gottman Level 2 certified and trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), using these evidence-based methods—along with CBT, trauma-informed therapy, and collaborative approaches—to help clients improve communication, strengthen connection, and build healthier relationship patterns.
I specialize in anxiety therapy, depression therapy, trauma-informed counseling, grief counseling, and support for sex and intimacy concerns, communication issues, relationship stress, and major life transitions such as pre-marital, divorce, death, career changes, and more.
My goal is to create a warm, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. I work collaboratively to help individuals and couples increase insight, develop emotional resilience, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Whether you're seeking personal growth, mental health support, relationship counseling, or marriage therapy, I’m committed to offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your needs. I welcome clients looking for help navigating stress, anxiety, depression, conflict, or who simply want to reconnect with themselves and the people they love.
Outside of therapy, I’m a former professional baker who still loves the creativity of pastry and baking. I also enjoy cooking, hiking, soaking at the Durango Hot Springs, and exploring Southwest Colorado with my loved ones. On most weekends, you’ll find me on the Colorado Trail with my beloved dogs, Rosie and Peach!
